Refurbishment & Demolition Asbestos Survey — Gas Compressor Station, Huntingdon

Huntingdon, East of EnglandScope-dependent (operational facility)

Project Overview

Following recent works within the UK gas transmission network, we were instructed to undertake a further Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos survey at a gas compressor facility in Huntingdon. The scope involved intrusive inspection within plant buildings and service areas, including sections operating in proximity to live infrastructure. Careful planning, access coordination and adherence to site control measures were essential to ensure the survey was delivered safely within an operational environment. In energy and utilities settings, survey scope must reflect the planned upgrade works. Where intrusive boundaries extend beyond what has been assessed, risk becomes operational and commercial as well as technical. All inspection and sampling were undertaken in accordance with HSG264, providing suitable and sufficient information to support dutyholders in meeting their obligations under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. Supporting infrastructure and utilities projects across the UK.
